César Stroscio - Trío Esquina

Born in the province of Tucumán, bandoneonist César Stroscio founded in 1964 the quartet Cuarteto Cedrón, an ensemble in which he played until 1988. Along with Cuarteto Cedrón he travelled to Paris in 1975, where he has been living ever since. After leaving the quartet he founded Trío Esquina, recording four albums and touring Europe. Meanwhile, he collaborated and recorded with numerous artists, including Paco Ibáñez, George Moustaki, Quilapayún, Ángel Parra, Hélène Martin, Colette Magny and Jacques Bertin. He is also a teacher: since 1989, he has been teaching bandoneón alongside Juan José Mosalini at the Gennevilliers National Music School. Trío Esquina is completed by Claudio “Pino” Enríquez on guitar and Ricardo Capria on acoustic bass. On this occasion, they will be presenting their albums Azul y Vos and Los Tangos del Corto, recently released in Argentina.
