ESTEBAN RIERA, PROMISING TALENT

Young singer Esteban Riera will be the star of the evening of the Tango World Championship and Festival performing at Harrods on Friday at 7 pm. Playing with him will be Julián Hermida (guitar) and Juanjo Hermida (piano). He will be presenting a repertoire based on his two solo albums “Soy cantor” and “Tal vez será su voz.”

Riera is a promising talent of the Argentine popular music, who has recently started his career after winning the Hugo del Carril contest: he prevailed in the “male vocal singer” category in 2002. Two years later, he got the “revelation” award at the Argentine Folklore Festival held in Cosquín. He has also performed with great artists like Julio Bocca, Osvaldo Piro, Raúl Garello, Néstor Marconi, Atilio Stampone and Osvaldo Berlinghieri.
